A great beginner green smoothie recipe for weight loss, there are 3 vegetable sources that provide high fiber and nutrient value:
Mint leaves: the smell of mint can be calming and also acts as a natural appetite suppressant. When eaten, mint promotes digestion, eliminates gas, and gives you the feeling that you had just brushed your teeth to reduce your food cravings.
Spinach: chock full of health benefits from improving eyesight, strengthening muscles, to boosting metabolism and digestive system. No wonder Popeye loves his spinach!
Cucumber: low in calories and high in water and nutrient content, cucumber is a popular ingredient in beauty and detox water drinks. Cucumber contains caffeic acid that helps to get rid of water retention in our body and therefore helps you to lose weight.
Lemon: is a well-known detoxifier as its enzymes stimulate liver functions. Its high vitamin C content helps to boost your immune system. Lemon’s high antioxidant and cleansing effect can also improve your skin complexion.
Greek yogurt: provides healthy probiotics to promote gut health and aid digestion, while keeping you feeling full longer.
There are so many life-changing green smoothie benefits and this easy green smoothie recipe is a great way to kickstart this healthy habit!
Best Blender for Green Smoothies
If you’re going to be making a lot of smoothies, it’s worth it to invest in a durable blender. I, personally, drink a smoothie almost every day, and I achieved my life-changing health benefits of healing my nearsightedness by using my trusty Vitamix Turbo Blend 4500 for the last 10 years. And, it is still going strong!
Vitamix 5200 BlenderThe Vitamix 5200 blender is the current and popular model. Its stainless steel blades are blunt for safe cleaning, but have all the power and speed you need to pulverize ice and frozen fruits, and can even break through the tough cell walls of whole fruits and veggies in seconds- making your drinks even more nutritious.
For the best blenders for green smoothies that suit any budget, you can find my recommendations from the professional-grade Vitamix to the
best value budget-friendly Magic Bullet that comes with cup jars that you can pop right on to the blender, and then drink right from the cup after blending, making it less messy and way more convenient.
