Cumin Ginger Tea

As we soak in the remnants of the beautiful fall foliage and forge ahead into winter here, we must take care to keep the cold bugs at bay.  Lately, whenever I feel the itch coming on in my throat, I savor this simple yet elegant Cumin Ginger tea for the rescue!

The cumin boosts your immune system and fights cold while the ginger warms your insides.  Cumin also boasts many healing benefits from aiding digestion to lowering cholesterol to weight loss! 

CUMIN GINGER TEA

Serves: 1

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds or 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger or 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 cup boiling hot water

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place spices in a tea bag or tea ball and place in tea cup. Pour 1 cup boiling water over spices and let steep for 5 minutes.
